Hey, there! My name is Caroline Colvin and I am a multimedia storyteller based out of Washington, D.C. My goal is to use my communications skills to raise the voices of marginalized people and make the political / personal more accessible to all media consumers.
By day, I’m a senior magazine journalism student at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. By night, I’m a pop culture + politics junkie, forever developing my skills as a reporter, editor and graphic designer.
Where to read me:
✎ I have written for The Daily Orange, an independent Syracuse University-student-run newspaper, as a Gender + Sexuality columnist as well as a senior staff writer. As a senior staffer, I write about the intersection of politics and art, as well as student + faculty activism on campus.
✎ I run a website called Brown Girls Only, which uplifts women and non-binary people of color in media. It’s also about applying a critical lens to the issues that affect us.
✎ Recently, I lived and studied in London, England. You can read about my adventures in my personal blog, Petit Ange Brun. My time in Europe consisted largely of food, history, phone problems, accent queries, fangirling over Shakespeare’s Globe and more food.
